Ricky's Motel is built up on pilings as is about every
other structure on the island. This has its advantages, you can park you
car below the motel. There are also picnic tables below the motel for
customer use. There is a live bait shop below one of the buildings and you
can buy your live bait right on site and also there is a tackle shop in
the office where you check in. Other conveniences is a boiling
room and the motel provides the propane gas and boiling pots for a good
old crab or crawfish boil. Other amenities is there is also a laundromat where you can wash
your dirty cloths.
